Nobel Prize Winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel Visits ESE Florence

As long as humanity remains a conflictual species - victim of fear and pain, poverty is economy, and crime is economy. [...] The economy of the future, an economy of well-being must be created by men that love, by dreamers.

Elio d'Anna, Presidente e Fondatore European School of Economics (ESE).

The European School of Economics (ESE) is proud to announce the visit of Nobel Peace Prize winner Adolfo Pérez Esquivel (pictured) today, May 15, at ESE campus Florence.

Adolfo Pérez Esquivel, Argentine human rights activist, community organizer and pacifist, was arrested by the Argentinian Federal Police in 1977. He was imprisoned and tortured for 14 months because of his non-violent opposition to dictatorship and his peaceful activism for human rights.

ESE Florence is honored to receive a visit from this world renowned Argentinian pacifist. The meeting includes a private discussion with ESE’s President and Founder Elio D’Anna on ‘The Culture and Economy of Peace’.

The event has been organized by Nadia Murabet, Ambassador for Peace and President and Executive Director of the Miracle Africa International Foundation, an organization that promotes world peace through education and cultural projects.

During the meeting, D’Anna and Pérez Esquivel will discuss how education and economy can contribute to the dialogue between different cultures and develop comprehension in order to create world peace.
